Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to data when you use PayAbacus. The person responsible (the controller) is named at the end.

No accounts and nothing sent: all calculations run in your browser. What you type is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

No cookies, no advertising and no profiling: the site sets no cookies and has no ads or social-media plugins. To see which pages are used, visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies, does not follow you across websites and does not build profiles. If a page hits a technical error, your browser sends a short error report (the error message, the page and the browser type), never what you typed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The fonts and the chart library are served from this website itself.

Storage on your device, only with your consent: if you choose “Remember on this device”, your last inputs, language, theme and the sections you opened are kept in your browser’s local storage so you find them next time. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. Your choice itself is stored so that we do not ask again. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006). You can withdraw it at any time with the button below; this deletes the stored data and does not affect what was lawful before.

Hosting: the website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA), which processes data for us under a data processing agreement. To deliver the pages, Cloudflare automatically receives the technical data every browser sends (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and device type) and may keep it for a short time in server logs for security, protection against attacks and troubleshooting. Error reports are deleted after 30 days at the latest. Data may be processed in the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and also uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not use this data to identify you.

Emails: if you write to us, including with “Report a mistake”, we receive your email address and what you write. The report window only prepares a message that you can read and change; nothing is sent until you send it yourself. We use your message only to reply and to correct the site (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete it when it is no longer needed, at the latest after two years. Our mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail), which processes the messages for us.

Your rights: you can ask for access to your personal data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, you can object to processing, and you can withdraw consent at any time. No automated decisions or profiling take place. The site is not directed at children under 15.
