Retirement age in Hungary: when you can claim your pension
When you can retire depends on your year of birth and how many years you have been insured. The calculator above shows the earliest age and the age for a full pension, and what each age would pay.
The rules in brief
- Old-age pension: From age 65. The pension is a percentage of your net average monthly earnings since 1988 (revalued): 43% for 15 years, 53% for 20, 63% for 25, 68% for 30, 74% for 36, 80% for 40 and 2% more for each further year. The part of the average above HUF 372,000 counts at 90% and above 421,000 at 80%. Minimum HUF 28,500.
