Terms of use

These terms apply to the use of PayAbacus, the website and its calculators. By using the site you accept them; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

The service: PayAbacus is a free information tool that estimates pay, taxes, contributions, pensions, benefits, mortgages and related figures for selected countries from published rules. No registration is needed. We may change, extend, suspend or remove features or countries at any time without notice.

Estimates, not advice: all results are estimates for information only, based on simplifying assumptions. They are not tax, legal, financial, investment, employment or pension advice, and using the site creates no professional or contractual relationship with us. Do not use the results for payroll, tax returns or official applications; check them with the competent authority, your employer or a qualified professional before making decisions.

Accuracy: we use official and open sources and test the calculators against official examples, but we do not guarantee that the information is complete, correct or up to date. Rules change, sometimes during the year; each country shows the rules year and when it was last checked.

Liability: the site is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, the owner is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site or the inability to use it, including decisions taken on the basis of its results. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law, including consumer protection law.

Acceptable use: you may use the site for your own information. Do not misuse it, for example by automated mass access or scraping, by trying to break or overload it, or by presenting its results as official figures or as advice from us.

Intellectual property: the texts, design, code and calculators of PayAbacus are protected by copyright. You may share screenshots or individual results for non-commercial purposes if you name PayAbacus as the source. Official data belongs to its sources (for example Eurostat, the OECD and national authorities) and is used under their reuse terms; the fonts and the chart library are used under the SIL Open Font License and the MIT licence.

Links to other websites are provided for information; their owners are responsible for their content. How we handle data is explained in the Privacy notice.

Changes: we may update these terms; the version shown here applies from its date, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Law and disputes: these terms are governed by Greek law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the courts of Athens, Greece, unless mandatory law gives consumers another court.
